How we protect data
Your approval comes before any data moves
Business data only moves when you say so. The first step is a profile. Your files stay where they are until you approve a defined scope, and what leaves is cleaned first.
Consent
You decide whether to take part
Creating a profile does not license anything. You review the scope and the commercial terms, and you decide whether to proceed. You can exclude any source, and you can stop at any point.
A dataset can be licensed only if your business holds the rights to do it. Customer information depends on your rights, your contracts, and the privacy rules that apply to you. It gets a careful review, and some of it may need to be removed or transformed.
A checkbox on our forms is separate from licensing. It is consent to be contacted about your request. It does not approve a data transfer.
Before delivery
What is removed or held back
Every approved file is scanned before delivery. Names, emails, phone numbers, addresses, account numbers, payment details, government identifiers, and login credentials are removed or replaced with neutral labels. Customer identities, employee identities, company identifiers, logos, contract numbers, and internal codes are removed or replaced.
Pricing formulas, proprietary methods, source code, and anything you flag as protected are held back. Buyers receive de-identified records, not people. What remains is the pattern of the work.
Sensitive information is reviewed as well. Depending on what it is, it may be excluded, transformed, or set aside before anything moves forward. That review happens before delivery, not after.
Your approval
You approve the scope and a cleaned sample
Nothing is shared or transferred until you approve it. The scope is defined before any transfer, and only approved sources move forward.
You approve that scope, and you approve a cleaned sample. You see the sample before anything is delivered. If it still looks like your business, it does not go out.
What buyers see
A profile, not your raw files
Buyers review a Data Partnership Profile. That profile does not include your raw files. It is built from high-level facts: systems, volume, history, categories, rights, sensitivity, and licensing readiness. The first step never touches your raw data.
A buyer can ask for a reviewed sample before moving forward. A sanitized sample is reviewed before the full transaction proceeds. Approved datasets go through sanitization, validation, and quality review before delivery. We do not hide known limitations.
Licensing and ownership
Licensing is not selling ownership
Licensing does not necessarily mean selling ownership of your underlying data.
Your licensing agreement defines the permitted use, scope, term, and rights associated with the transaction. Sometimes data can be licensed more than once. That depends on the terms of each agreement.
The longer version of the review steps is on our security and privacy page. Contact and website privacy is in the privacy policy.
Start with questions, not a file transfer.
The first step only asks about your business and your systems. Nothing is transferred until you approve it.
